In Paris an aging widow gets a disturbing phone call from a Lithuanian man who says he`s her father. Believing that her father died 53 years earlier with her mother and sister she approaches him cautiously skeptically - as though she`d rather not open old wounds. In the last part Esther gorintin is terrific as Vera an 85-year-old Russian emigre searching Tel Aviv for a long-lost cousin. slow and timid but surprisingly resilient Vera rides buses and cabs across the chaotic city and doesn`t give up untill she gets an answer.
